Alison comes to The Lavinia Group having worked in elementary schools as a general education teacher, special education teacher, Labsite Teacher, Grade Team Lead, Assistant Principal, and Principal. Alison started her career with Teach for America, worked as a special educator in a Title 1 NYCDOE school for three years before transitioning to teaching and leadership roles at Success Academy Charter Schools locations in Harlem, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. She has also served as an adjunct professor for graduate courses in education at Touro College. Alison earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Special Education from Marist College and her Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities from CUNY Hunter College.
