Reimagining the Classroom – Remote and Hybrid Best Practices to Accelerate Student Learning Mini-Institute
Teachers and leaders have been asked to reimagine the classroom and find new and innovative ways to meaningfully teach students in a virtual environment. The Lavinia Group team of 20-plus former expert superintendents, principals and lab-site teachers has been on the ground since August, developing and culling best practices from across the country. We can’t wait to share those with you so that together, we can achieve joyfully rigorous instruction for students regardless of scenario, and ensure excellent outcomes for the kids you serve during this time.
Participants will come away with:
- Practices for leading highly-effective, live, synchronous instruction in a virtual classroom
- Strategies for setting up and teaching a “flipped classroom” that leverages both asynchronous and synchronous learning
- Tools for building a supportive and accountable student culture that invites students to take risks, engage in their best thinking, and do their best work
- Innovative ways to leverage the latest technology and to facilitate student discussion, thinking, and feedback
WHO SHOULD COME: This interactive training is designed for K-8 teachers and leaders who are eager to learn best practices for virtual and hybrid instruction.
