Insight Humanities™ 101 Institute
As a result of the pandemic, many students across the United States experienced significant learning loss. More than ever, educators must double-down on proven methods to engage young learners and accelerate growth. Lavinia Group’s Insight Humanities™ curriculum is our solution for closing the knowledge gap and dramatically improving literacy achievement in your school.
Grounded in the latest research, our anti-racist curriculum teaches reading, writing, and history through highly-engaging content in grades K-5. During this institute, participants will be introduced to the signature elements of Lavinia Group’s Insight Humanities™ program and leave ready to implement the curriculum in their classrooms.
Participants will come away with:
- A deep understanding of the purpose of content-driven literacy instruction and the vision, goals, and structures for Insight Humanities™
- The structure and purpose of each Insight Humanities™ core component— content-focused Read Alouds, Reading, Writing, and Project lessons
- A framework for planning project-based learning in a way that values student choice and inspires students’ best work
- Robust practice and feedback planning and teaching Insight Humanities™ lessons with a focus on facilitating whole-class discussions
