Corey Coleman

Instructional Consultant

Corey began her education career at one of New York City’s top performing charter schools teaching students in grades 1-4 and developing teachers across over 40 schools. During her time there, she was awarded an Excellence Award for her accomplishments as an elementary educator, and celebrated as a labsite teacher who mentored and managed teachers across the network. Corey’s classrooms were ranked among the top 10% in the network for academic achievement, and 100% of her 4th grade students passed both the New York State ELA and Math Exams. After teaching, Corey served as the principal of WeGrow, a private elementary school and later worked as the associate director of ELA for Achievement First, Greenfield schools, where she supported curriculum design and implementation. Most recently, Corey worked as an instructional coach in New York City public elementary and middle schools, and she served as a Mentor Teacher with the National Summer School Initiative with Cadence Learning. Corey studied Psychology and Sociology at The George Washington University, and holds a master’s degree in general elementary and special education.
