Anne is thrilled to bring her K-4 experience as a teacher, school leader, and instructional coach to Lavinia Group. Anne started her career as a first-grade teacher in Harlem with Teach For America. Later, she joined Uncommon Schools as a teacher at an all-boys elementary school, Excellence Boys Charter School. As a teacher, Anne's classroom regularly led the network in achievement as her students consistently achieved 94% at or above the end-of-year reading benchmark as well as standards mastery of all first-grade mathematics standards. After seven years as a teacher and Instructional Leader, Anne became a Dean of Curriculum and Instruction. During her four years as DCI, Anne developed curriculum for Kindergarten, First, and Second grade literacy and mathematics and oversaw the design, development, and facilitation of Literacy Professional Development for K-2 teachers across 22 elementary schools. Anne holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri - Columbia and a Masters in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education.
