Catherine is joining Lavinia Group with experience as a former teacher, literacy curriculum specialist, and assessment developer. She began her work in education while still at Amherst College by supporting adult literacy and GED instruction. After graduation, Catherine taught second grade in the Bronx before moving to Success Academy Charter Network’s headquarters, where she used her passion for literature to design rigorous and engaging English Language Arts materials and assessments for the network’s elementary and middle school classrooms. Catherine has a Master’s degree in Childhood and Special Education and a Bachelor’s degree in English and History.
