Ed Davis, a Mississippi native with a passion for education, brings a decade of international and K-12 education experience to the Lavinia Group. After volunteering with the United States Peace Corps on a Girls Empowerment and Education initiative, he became a successful K-4 chess teacher where he got more girls to thrive in the male-dominated chess program while completing his master's degree in General and Special Education. As a special education teacher, Ed's leadership skills emerged as he led his grade team to consistently achieve a 96%+ pass rate on NYS Math and ELA tests, and as a labsite teacher, he trained others in best practices. Ed went on to further hone his skills as an instructional coach where he helped teachers and leaders improve their instruction and coaching practices. With his extensive content knowledge, resources, and understanding of the challenges that schools face, Ed is a valuable addition to the Lavinia Group.
