Eliza comes to Lavinia Group after nearly a decade of experience at one of the highest performing charter networks in New York City. Eliza began her career as a 2013 NYC Teach for America corps member, through which she was placed at Classical Charter Schools. During her tenure at Classical, Eliza served as a teacher, grade team leader, assistant principal, and network leader. As a founding teacher and grade team leader, Eliza attained outstanding results leading a team of teachers to achieve 100% pass rates in ELA, Math, and Science with 97% of students passing with distinction in Math. After 5 years in the classroom, Eliza was selected to join the School Leader Fellowship where she continued to develop her leadership by coaching teachers, facilitating professional development, and advancing initiatives to improve network-wide systems. Eliza received her Bachelor's in History from Northwestern University and her Masters in Childhood Education from the Relay Graduate School of Education.
