Katie Kincaid

Instructional Consultant

Katie is a passionate and dedicated educator who has been committed to improving the educational sector for the past 11 years. Katie has worked across the K-12 spectrum in high performing schools in New York City, which helped her to develop a comprehensive understanding of the skills and habits students need in order to be prepared for college and beyond. Within her career in elementary, middle, and high schools, she has been promoted to Grade Team Lead, Labsite Teacher, Content Lead, Leadership Resident, and Dean of Academics, and won an Excellence Award in Teaching. Most recently, she served as Assistant Principal, overseeing the English department at a high school. Under her guidance as a leader there, 95%+ of the 9th grade cohort received the “college ready” designation on the Regents Examination in English Language Arts for the past three years in a row (an exam usually administered to 11th graders in New York State), and the non-selective 11th grade cohort achieved the highest pass rates in her school’s history on the AP Literature and Composition exam. Katie earned her bachelor’s degree from UCLA, and has a master’s degree in Childhood General and Special Education from Bank Street College of Education. She has a deep appreciation for literature and a passion for helping children and educators develop their own love for reading and writing.
