Naeri has been an educator in New York City public and charter schools for over a decade. Most recently, she was an Instructional Manager of middle school literacy at Success Academy Charter Schools. In this role, she created and led trainings for leaders and teachers across the network, and she wrote middle school literacy curriculum that fosters critical thinking and writing. Prior to her time at the network, Naeri taught a range of grades, spanning from kindergarten through eighth grade. As a middle school ELA teacher, Naeri led her students in achieving exceptional results—one hundred percent of her students passed the NYS ELA Exam, with 60% scoring the highest score of a 4. Additionally, a third of the students accepted into specialized high schools from District 9 came from her class. Naeri was also awarded the Teacher Excellence Award and served as a middle school labsite teacher.
