These workshops introduce participants to the RedThread Foundations and Knowledge curricula, focusing on the key elements and strategies needed to effectively teach Units 1 and 2.

What Participants Will Learn:

• Understand the structure and goals of each program.
• Learn foundational strategies for phonics instruction (Foundations) and integrating literacy with content (Knowledge).
• Observe model lessons and collaborate with peers to plan and refine lessons.
• Practice key techniques with guidance and feedback to build confidence in implementing the programs.

Unit Launches (Units 3-6)

Each session provides in-depth preparation for an upcoming unit in both programs. Participants will:

• Explore the objectives and structure of each unit.
• See practical demonstrations of lesson delivery.
• Plan and practice teaching strategies specific to the unit’s goals.
• Discuss techniques for addressing diverse student needs and fostering engagement.
