Puja serves as an Associate Director of Curriculum at Lavinia Group, where she leads the creation of robust science-based literacy curriculum to ensure a comprehensive knowledge-building experience for students. She drives a strong iterative process with her team to create K–8 resources, teacher guides, and materials, including work on the RedThread Literacy and RedThread RISE curricula. She strives to provide schools with resources that are easy to implement and ready to use. Puja began her career in education as a Teach For America corps member. She then worked for a New York City charter school network for 13 years as a special education teacher, leader, literacy specialist, and curriculum developer, ranking among the top 10% of teachers in the network for academic achievement and classroom environment. She has also worked as an adjunct professor at Relay Graduate School of Education, supporting teachers in the Advanced Certification Program for Special Education. Puja has experience coaching teachers in supporting diverse learners, curriculum implementation, and literacy best practices. She has also developed district-level culturally responsive ELA curriculum grounded in the Science of Reading. She holds a master's degree in Elementary Education and a Special Education Certification from Relay Graduate School of Education.
