Sarah Sagalchik

Instructional Consultant

Sarah is excited to join Lavinia Group and bring her passion and knowledge in supporting schools. Sarah is an experienced elementary educator who is a lifelong learner herself.  Throughout the last 15 years, Sarah has continued her own learning and development around strong instructional practices and supported teachers and leaders in implementing them in their schools. Sarah began her teaching career as a Teach for America Corps member and taught first through third grade at South Bronx Classical Charter School. After that she was a founding teacher at Endeavor Elementary school in Brooklyn teaching first and second grade, where she was recognized as a Distinguished Teacher. Sarah then transitioned into an Academic Dean role, coaching and supporting kindergarten through fourth grade teachers. Most recently, Sarah served as a network leader across 18 elementary schools supporting literacy development and implementation at Achievement First. Throughout her career as a teacher, school, and network leader, Sarah has consistently driven exceptional educational outcomes, including supporting K-2 students to meet grade level reading benchmarks and significant growth on the NYS ELA Assessment. Sarah holds a bachelor’s in Human Development from Cornell University and a master’s in teaching from Pace University.
