Science of Reading

This course provides teachers and leaders with research-based reading instruction strategies designed to help students achieve reading proficiency by 3rd grade. Participants will explore the latest research on the five foundational pillars of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. They’ll also learn how to integrate effective phonics and comprehension practices into individual, small-group, and whole-class instruction.
By completing this course, educators will strengthen their approach to classroom reading instruction and help students build the skills needed to become confident, proficient readers.
