William joins the Lavinia Group with nearly 20 years of experience working in both traditional public and charter schools. As a principal in New York City, William has consistently achieved stellar outcomes, leading with a sharp focus on instructional management and a deep commitment to the development of school culture. He became a principal in 2012, and under his leadership, the school performed within the top 1% of all schools in NY state, leading to earning a National Blue Ribbon Award from the US Department of Education — the third school in Harlem to have ever received this distinction. In 2017, William became the founding principal of an elementary school in the Hudson Yards neighborhood of NYC. Four years later, he led the school’s significant expansion to serve grades 6 to 8 while continuing to achieve excellent results for students. He is excited to bring his passion for teacher and leader development to the Lavinia Group team.
