Adriana Meza
Instructional Consultant
Adriana is an educator approaching 20 years in the profession. Having worked for major charter networks in both LA and NYC, she is thrilled to support various schools as an instructional consultant. Adriana served as a school leader of a high-performing charter school in the South Bronx for three years. As a founding head administrator in August 2018, her single grade school was the highest-ranking charter 6th grade in New York State on their standardized ELA exam and #10 on their standardized math exam. When teaching in Los Angeles, she received the Effective Practice Incentive Community Award for the most dramatic gains in student achievement in ELA for two years in a row. Adriana aims to provide excellent, equitable instruction to all students no matter her role, which, in addition to site lead, has included dean, instructional coach, and teacher-leader. She has been trained by The National Equity Project on their Leading for Equity Framework, which is at the heart of all she does. Adriana has 10 years of middle school teaching experience and 14 years of educational leadership experience. She became a teacher like her father and had the privilege of working with him as a long-term sub during some of his final years in the classroom. Adriana earned her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Seattle University and a Master’s degree in Education from Pepperdine University.
